A few weekends ago, we played Jackson St. Bar in Spokane, and honestly, it felt good to get out of the Tri-Cities and hit a new stage. Spokane’s still pretty fresh for us — we’ve only played there a couple times — but it’s cool seeing things slowly build. We’re actually heading back soon, so that’s a good sign.
The venue had a cool dive bar energy with a ton of character. The inside had a gritty vibe we loved, and their new outdoor stage setup felt solid — great sound and a fun space to play.
From the tech side (yo, it’s Zak), we ran our Quad Cortex live for the first time — and it seriously stepped our sound up. We’ve been making some behind-the-scenes upgrades, and this was the first night it all really clicked. I totally spaced and didn’t hit record on my laptop (rookie move), but the ambient mic picked up more than expected, and we’ve got some good footage coming.
Shoutout to the sound crew — they were super helpful and made sure we came through clean.
Next stop: Chainsaw Cat in Yakima. Never played Yakima before. New city, new crowd, and we’re stoked to see who shows up. If you’re in the area, come say hi and hang out.
